The FPCD launched the inaugural Prince Albert II Leadership in Post Conflict Development Award in 2019. FPCD is deeply thankful to HSH the Sovereign Prince of Monaco for his High Patronage and continued support and confidence in the organization. Upon reflection of the most appropriate and meaningful way to express our deep gratitude, it has been decided to establish this Leadership Award for Youth, as well as for Global Leaders.
Since 2009, the FPCD has been formally associated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications. As such, the FPCD responsibility to the United Nations is to actively promote the work of the UN. Annual reports to maintain this “associated status”, provide FPCD with accreditation of a delegation of 6 persons to UN Headquarters and the proceedings that take place.
The UN DPI/NGO Conference is the premier event in the NGO calendar at the United Nations. It typically attracts an average of 2,000 representatives from more than 500 non-governmental organizations from over 100 countries. Each Conference focuses on a different UN topic of interest related to the work of civil society and NGOs. This international forum also brings together senior UN System officials, prominent international NGOs, academicians, public opinion makers and international media to discuss issues of global concern.

The Mission of the FPCD is twofold: to empower women through creating access to maternal health services, improving maternal health culture, and providing training opportunities. To empower and engage youth by creating recreational spaces that promote inclusion, support education, and encourage positive participation in society. We link Post-Conflict Countries with good-willed partners to concretely address these needs.
The FPCD relies on local partners to identify the best and most receptive youth from their respective countries. For the purposes of the Inaugural Award, the FPCD is working with the Commission d’Insertion des Diplomes, Monaco and the Secretary of State for Equality and Inclusion of Timor-Leste.
There are a limited number of partnership available which includes being part of the FPCD delegation to the UN Civil Society Conference. Please inquire by email to cabate@postconflictdev.org.
