The FPCD is currently raising funds for the Women’s Health and Training Center in Saint-Louis-du-Sud, Haiti.
In 2015, St Luke’s Foundation for Haiti contacted the Foundation for Post Conflict Development (FPCD), requesting support for a health facility, because one of the pillars of the FPCD is providing access to maternal health clinics.
On April 19, 2016, FPCD signed an agreement with Monaco’s expert environmentally friendly construction company, EcoSystem, to commence the work of the Women’s Health and Training Center in St Louis de Sud. The building took three months from land preparation to completion. Our local implementing partner, St Luke’s Foundation, and the team at FPCD is very satisfied with the final product. In September 2016, a formal handover ceremony took place whereby the building was given to St. Lukes Foundation for Haiti.
Now in Phase 2 of the project, the FPCD is raising funds for Equipment, Medicine and Human Resource Support.
A list of needed equipment, furnishing and medicines can be found here. The Monaco Red Cross and the Fondaction Sancta Devota have already donated funds for this purpose. As of January 2017, a good portion of equipment has been procured, however the clinic still requires some basic supplies, sanitary equipment, medicine, and funds to staff the clinic.
