United Nations

Since its founding in 2005, the FPCD has aligned itself with the United Nations Charter. The FPCD was officially recognized as an official Non Governmental in associative status with the UN Department of Public Information in 2009.As part of this relationship, the organization files annual reports, participates in UN activities and has a team of 6 representatives that are accredited to the UN.

In 2006, the FPCD signed the UN Global Compact, committing itself with the Principles of good business practice.

The FPCD has made presentations at the UN on reconciliation and the role of the family and participated in numerous brieifngs and meetings.

The FPCD received a grant from the UN Staff 1 % for Development Fund to build a Youth Center in Becora, Timor-Leste. This Youth Center was inaugurated by Prince Albert II in 2008.

The FPCD strongly supports the United Nations Office for the Alliance of Civilizations. The FPCD supports numerous initiatives that originate from the United Nations and most recently the Post 2015 Development Agenda known as the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Foundation for Post Conflict Development is proud to be a member of the United Nations Academic Impact. « The Academic Impact is a global initiative that aligns institutions of higher education with the United Nations in actively supporting ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, literacy, sustainability and conflict resolution. »

The FPCD is also proudly answered the call to support the International Year of Youth 2010-2011 as declared by the United Nations General Assembly. The FPCD has and continues to focus on Youth and participates in follow-up activities designated by the United Nations.

The Foundation for Post Conflict Development (FPCD) is a United States 501 (c)(3) public charity organization that assists post conflict communities. The FPCD has been a proud signatory to the United Nations Global Compact since 7 December 2006. Since the new rules have come into effect about communication on engagement, this serves as the second report and summary of activities.
