The Foundation for Post Conflict Development (“FPCD”) recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of information belonging to users of our site, www.postconflictdev.org. The following privacy policy will guide our relationships with our users.

3rd-party donation websites

At the time you sign up and make a donation to us through a 3rd party website, such as Network For Good or Ammado, such 3rd party website will ask you for your billing information and may provide us with the option, and we may exercise such option to collect, your billing information, such as name, address, e-mail, telephone number and other personal-identifying information (the “Billing Information”).

How we use information

We use the Contact Information and/or the Billing Information to periodically send out e-mail and/or newsletters to our members and/or subscribers about our activities and those of our partners. You will be given the opportunity to opt out of such service on each mailing. We will not sell, share or rent your e-mail to third parties for e-mail promotional purposes.

In addition, we automatically gather general statistical information about our site and visitors, such as IP addresses, browsers, pages viewed, number of visitors, etc., but in doing so we do not reference you by individual name, e-mail address, home address or telephone number. We use this data in aggregate to determine how much our viewers use parts of our site so we can improve our site.

We also provide your personal identifiable information in response to a verified request by law enforcement or other government officials relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity. We also can release your personally identifiable information in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, piracy or other unlawful activity.

We have no way of distinguishing the age of individuals who access our website, and so we carry out the same Privacy Policy for individuals of all ages. If a child has provided us with personal-identifying information without parental or guardian consent, the parent or guardian should contact us to remove the information and opt out of promotional opportunities.

We are not responsible for the content or the privacy polices of websites to which we may provide links or the websites of our donation collection agents, advertisers or partner organizations. The privacy policy of a donation collection agent, an advertiser or promotional service appearing at their site may differ from ours. We encourage you to read the private policies of any third party websites before responding to any of their requests for information from you.

Our commitment to data security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

How to unsubscribe from our e-mail list or correct your information

Upon request, we will remove members or subscribers (and their information) from our database or permit them to opt out of any further e-mail or contact. We also offer members or subscribers the ability to have inaccuracies corrected in contact information.

Members or subscribers can have this information corrected by sending us a request that credibly shows error at the e-mail at the address below, or by writing to us at the address below.

Notification of Changes

This Privacy Policy became effective as of the date indicated below. Any changes to our Privacy Policy will be communicated through our website at least five (5) days in advance of its effective date. Information collected before changes are made will be secured according to the previous Privacy Policy.
